Prescott’s public schools offer broad and rigorous programming to provide options for the district’s 1,250 K-12 student population:
- 100% K-8th Grade STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) participation.
- K-12 Cardinal Quest Gifted & Talented Extensions and Extra-Curricular Options
Prescott High School’s College and Career Readiness options include:
- Advanced Placement Course offerings eligible for college credit.
- Dual Enrollment Courses enable students to simultaneously earn high school and college credits. Prescott High School has several offerings:
- Start College Now Program (Needs definition)
- Early College Credit Program (ECCP) allows public high school students who meet certain requirements to take post-secondary courses at an institution of higher education. Students who meet the identified criteria can earn college credits at no cost.
- Transcripted Courses pairs Prescott High School with area technical colleges. Courses are taught by certified high school teachers and allow participants to earn both high school and college credits - and save students hundreds of dollars in tuition and book fees.
- Work-Based Learning (WBL) program is coordinated between PHS and employers. WBL provides students the opportunity to study in school and work on the job to gain experience and knowledge in an occupational field.

Prescott students continue to excel in the classroom when state and national districts’ tests scores are declining. The National Assessment of Educational Progress places Wisconsin in the top tier of all 50 states, and the DPI Annual Report Card places PSD Prescott in the TOP 11% of the state for academic achievement (up from 15% in 2020-21).
